About Us
This is us. We are a group of 12 international students who are raising awareness about the disparity between tuition fees for EU and non-EU students in the Netherlands. Moreover, we are doing this to help two of our non-EU peers who are facing a real threat of not being able to continue their studies due to finances. That's why we created a funding campaign and this page to document our journey towards keeping our ecology together.
Beginning of this Story
In early 2021, we were asked to come up with an event for a module called Wild Bodies. This event had to be a learning experience and compliment our curriculum. After several discussions, we arrived at the notion of revolution because we felt that we should do something impactful with our privileged position as MA art students. Very soon we realised that there is something we can already do to help the closest people we have here – our cohort. That's how the idea of a revolution transformed into the idea of changing an unfair situation some of us were facing. Hopefully, this small event will manage to impact not only our own lives but also inspire bigger change.
What are we here to do
and how can you help us?
We are here to raise € 14 232. This sum will help cover 80% of the annual tuition fee for two of our non-EU cohort members.
